Continuous  capacity  development and awareness programmes are necessary to
achieve the objective of transforming the novice into digital librarians of
future. The success of ICDL 2004 and ICDL 2006 has encouraged and motivated
TERI  in  partnership  with  IGNOU  to  conduct of the ICDL 2010 which will
provide  yet  another stimulating forum for DL professionals to share their
knowledge, experience and wisdom.

Objectives

·     Provide a platform and enable interaction among DL experts and
researchers
·     Facilitate creation adoption, implementation and utilization of DL‘s,
and their future implications

Call for papers

Original papers focusing on the theme of the conference—Digital Libraries:

شرکت نرم‌افزار و سخت‌افزار ایران (نوسا) با توجه به رویکرد علمی و پژوهشی خود نسبت به طراحی و تولید نرم‌افزارهای کتابخانه‌ای، همواره از فعالیت‌های علمی، آموزشی و پژوهشی در این زمینه پشتیبانی نموده و حمایت از پژوهش‌های برتر همیشه مورد توجه مدیران این شرکت قرار داشته است. در همین راستا اولین جشنواره‌ی جایزه‌ی علمی پژوهش‌های برتر در حوزه‌ی نرم‌افزارهای کتابخانه‌ای با هدف شناسایی و پشتیبانی از استعدادهای مرتبط، با همکاری گروهی از اساتید و صاحب‌نظران علم کتابداری و اطلاع‌رسانی برگزار می‌شود. از کلیه‌ی افراد علاقمند (کتابداران، اطلاع‌رسانان، متخصصان نرم‌افزار، دانشجویان و اعضای هیات علمی) که دارای آثاری در ارتباط با نرم‌افزارهای کتابخانه‌ای هستند دعوت می‌شود با ارسال یک نسخه از اثر (آثار) خود به دبیرخانه‌ی جشنواره‌ی جایزه‌ی علمی سیمرغ کتابداری و اطلاع‌رسانی، در این حرکت علمی و پژوهشی مشارکت نمایند.

محورهای تخصصی

این موضوعات با همفکری گروهی از اساتید و صاحب‌نظران علم کتابداری و اطلاع‌رسانی و متخصصان نرم‌افزاری شرکت نوسا تهیه و تدوین شده است. در این زمینه تلاش شده تا با نگاهی جامع، تمامی مباحث تخصصی موجود در زمینه‌ی بهره‌گیری از سیستم‌های رایانه‌ای برای اتوماسیون کتابخانه‌ها و مراکز اسناد مورد توجه قرار گیرد.

محدوده زمانی پژوهشها

کلیه‌ی پژوهش‌های مرتبط با موضوعات بالا (پایان‌نامه، گزارش طرح پژوهشی، مقاله پژوهشی و مانند آنها) که از ابتدای سال 1380 تا کنون انجام گرفته است می‌توانند در این فراخوان شرکت نمایند.

Overview:
Mathematicians dream of a digital archive containing all peer-reviewed
mathematical literature ever published, properly linked and
validated/verified. It is estimated that the entire corpus of mathematical
knowledge published over the centuries does not exceed 100,000,000
pages, an amount easily manageable by current information technologies.

The workshop's objectives are to formulate the strategy and goals of
a global mathematical digital library and to summarize the current
successes and failures of ongoing technologies and related projects,
asking such questions as:
# What technologies, standards, algorithms and formats should be used
 and what metadata should be shared?
# What business models are suitable for publishers of mathematical
 literature, authors and funders of their projects and institutions?
# Is there a model of sustainable, interoperable, and extensible
 mathematical library that mathematicians can use in their everyday work?
# What is the best practice for
   * retrodigitized mathematics (from images via OCR to MathML and/or TeX);
   * retro-born-digital mathematics (from existing electronic copy in
     DVI, PS or PDF to MathML and/or TeX);
   * born-digital mathematics (how to make needed metadata and file formats
     available as a side effect of publishing workflow [CEDRAM model/Euclid])?
